Our most traditional summer camps program, Ranch Camp is similar to a YMCA, Church or Boy Scout summer camp experience, we just provide more counselors for support and guidance (if needed). Ranch Camp takes place at Crista Camps, a horse ranch camp just south of Port Orchard. This year we will be going to BOTH Miracle Ranch and Island Lakes camps. Horseback riding is the focus at Miracle Ranch, along with lake fun, swimming, canoeing and Stand Up Paddle boarding. We also do scavenger hunts, archery, paint-ball,and experience "the Big Swing" in the ropes course area, and plenty of art & crafts projects. Island Lake is more focused on adventure camp! The kids can skateboard, ride BMX bikes, rock climb, experience the ropes course, shoot paint-ball, swim or canoe on the lake. (With parental permission they can try Motocross too). The food is buffet style and easily caters to allergies requests and gluten free options. Campers will sleep in rustic cabins that hold 12 campers and counselors. Blue Compass Camps primary focus with Ranch Camp is social interaction with their peers, problem solving, and providing a great summer camp experience. A few of the activities will present a challenge for your child, overcoming that challenge will give them a huge boost of confidence. Crista Camps provides a phenomenal opportunity to make friends, learn new skills, and spend five days living and playing at one of the most beautiful ranches in Washington.
The dates with the asterisk signifies Island Lakes. This year Ranch Camps will start on Sunday and end on Thursday. Driving from Seattle on Monday morning and going back on Friday has been a challenge. We are trying to make this easier for families and our campers.

Take Hwy. 3 north to the Hwy. 308 east/Keyport exit. Turn right and go east one mile to the signal light. Turn right onto Silverdale Way. Go 1.5 miles, two stop lights south to Ridgetop Blvd. Turn left. Take the next left onto NW Gallery St. At the stop sign turn right onto Island Lake Rd. and follow the road down to the ISLAND LAKE sign. Turn right on Camp Court NW and continue on into camp.
Please note that deposits are nonrefundable once the camper is accepted. Full tuition is due by May 15th to retain the spot (or if applying after May 15th, full tuition is due at time of acceptance). If you must cancel for verifiable illness or emergency, we will split the tuition loss with you. If we discharge a camper early for a medical reason in the first half of the session, half tuition will be refunded; in the second half, there is no refund. Travel Insurance is available that would offset this tuition lose, (we are not affiliated with any insurance companies) but Google would provide you with options. If your child is discharged due to behavioral issues there is no refund.
